Week 2: I'm A Beauty Blogger, Get Me Out Of Here Tag!

1) Firstly congratulations! You won last week’s bush tucker trial and your reward is a makeover from a professional make-up artist. What look would you choose and why?
Probably just a natural everyday look! There's no point getting all glammed up in the jungle - as you're not going to stay looking good for long!

2) It’s time to wash – ok so it’s not in a luxury shower or a bath but you do get a choice of one soap/shower gel to use. What would you choose and why?
Hmm, maybe something from lush with natural ingredients! But I'm loving Soap & Glory at the minute so probably the shower gel from their collection.

3) Today is the arrival of a new camp mate, yay! You get to decide, it can be anyone this time. Who will you choose and why?
Ermm, oooh tricky one! Probably one of my best friends or maybe my sister! Someone from home, that will be comforting seeing as I'd be on the other side of the world!

4) It can get a little boring in the jungle and you’re feeling sluggish. What one fitness exercise would you do?
Maybe some squats or sit ups; nothing too energetic seeing as I'd have to save my energy for the trials!

5) How would you create your own jungle fashion style?
I love them bandanas that they wear! So I'd probably wear one of those with two plaits in my hair; true jungle style! ;)

6) What is your favourite Australian product and why?
I'm sorry but I don't think I know any!!

7) Good news, the camp has won the treasure chest hunt! In need of something sweet, each camp mate wins their own cupcake. What would yours be?
Mmm, probably a chocolate chip one with chocolate sauce in the middle! Or one with a lot of buttercream on top!

8) Challenge – bush tucker trial number 2, ‘the jungle hair & beauty salon’. You’re sitting under a vintage hair dryer and instead of hot air being blasted out you are greeted by 10,000 creepy crawlies. Which creepy crawlies would you detest the most and which ones wouldn’t you mind?
Erm, probably cockroaches seeing as they scurry about really fast, but I'd be more scared of the bigger animals to be honest! I wouldn't mind mealworms or the cute rats!;)

L'Oréal Elvive Extraordinary Oil

As soon as I first used this product, I noticed a difference with the texture and overall look of my hair.

I'm guilty of never protecting my hair when using heat; I blow dry it about three times a week and use straighteners and curling irons now and again, however despite this, my hair is generally in a good condition. But, this oil makes it look much more shiny and soft.

I love that this oil is versatile; you can apply it on damp or dry hair, by running it through the lengths and ends. You can apply it before shampooing, before styling or as a finishing touch to create a shiny and smooth look.

For the past few weeks, I have been applying it in the shower before washing and I have noticed a real difference in the way my hair feels and looks. It is more shiny, smooth and has less tangles and knots when I brush it. All you need is two drops, as a little goes a long way!

The oil consists of a blend of six flower extracts, which helps with the nourishment for your hair! Another great thing about it is it's suitable for all hair types, however if you have coloured hair, there is one specifically for that too!

This product is a great investment if you want to brighten up your hair or if you feel like it needs to be repaired.

I use this regularly and absolutely love it!

Week 1: I'm A Beauty Blogger, Get Me Out Of Here Tag!

1) You can only take one product into the jungle (aka your luxury item). What would you choose and why?
Either moisturiser or suncream! (I have fair skin so I'll burn very easily being in a hot country haha!) Actually, scrap that! MASCARA! I have blonde eyelashes and feel naked without any on! (This is a hard question!) hehe.

2) What would be your main pre jungle worry?
Having the pressure of doing a trial! I wouldn't want to let everyone down, plus if I had to deal with snakes in a trial; I don't mind bugs though!

3) You only have five minutes to get ready before going into the jungle, what would be your quick beauty routine?
I'd slap on a bit of tinted moisturiser, mascara and lip balm! Then I'm good to go.

4) Last year we saw Helen Flanagan wearing her hair in a top bun. What would be your signature hairstyle?
I'm really boring when it comes to hair, I usually just leave it down straight or curl it! But for trials, I'd tie it up in a messy bun, ponytail or have it in two plaits.

5) For moral support, which female celebrity would you like to be in the jungle with you?
Probably someone a bit older who'd look out for me in there, or someone who would be easy-going! So maybe Fearne Cotton or Nicole Scherzinger.

6) Everyone’s given a role in the camp. What lifestyle skill would you bring to the jungle?
Well definitely not cooking, I don't know how to cook kangaroo! I'd probably help people if they feel homesick or offer to wash people's clothes or something!

7) What one thing about being a beauty blogger sometimes makes you want to scream ‘Get Me Out Of Here’?
Well I haven't been blogging that long, so nothing in particular comes to mind! Maybe the fact that it's hard to get recognised and gain followers when you first start blogging.

8) Challenge – This is a once in a life time opportunity. You're up for a trial to face your fears or try something new, what would you choose to do and why?
If I really have to challenge myself, then maybe jumping out of a plane that they usually do at the beginning of the show; it would terrify me but it's meant to be amazing! Plus it would set you up for the rest of the show, being ready to conquer anything!

I really enjoyed this tag, I can't wait for the next one!

Winter Lipsticks

I literally can't get enough of these lipsticks so I decided to do a post about them. Because they're quite neutral colours, I find they look better with Winter outfits as they just compliment them well. I have chosen four Elf lipsticks and two Clinique ones and the selection mainly consists of browns, pinks and reds. (Mind the effects on the pictures, I'm trying to get used to editing my photos hehe!)

1. Elf Mineral Lipstick - Barely Bitten
2. Elf Mineral Lipstick - Runaway Pink
3. Elf Mineral Lipstick - Rosy Tan
4. Clinique High Impact Lip Colour - Extreme Pink
5. Elf Lipstick - Classy
6. Clinique Colour Surge Butter Shine Lipstick - Adore U

1. This was one of the first Elf lipsticks that I bought and I love it! I'm not the type of girl to wear red lipstick as I've never thought it suited me, however I found that this lipstick isn't a particularly bright colour; it's more of a darker red and I find that it suits me more than a brighter colour due to my skin tone. It gives sort of a sore lips kind of look, which is perfect for Winter when that cold weather bites (eeek!)

I also absolutely loveee Elf lipsticks; they're so creamy and I love the colours that they come in - I hope to own every colour one day;) I can't get enough of them!

2. Another one by Elf! At £5 each, these beauties are really worth stocking up on! I would say this colour is close to nude and I love wearing this with neutral eye makeup. Pink doesn't usually suit me (especially bright Barbie pink, oh no) but I love this shade! It's also extremely moisturising and long lasting.

I usually apply Vaseline or lip balm before applying lipstick as I've found it glides on better and softens your lips beforehand. I love the matte finish that you get with this lipstick.

3. This colour is similar to Runaway Pink and it is quite hard to tell the difference, however this one is just slightly darker as it's more of a brown colour. I usually try and build this colour up so my lips don't appear too dark!

Writing this post makes me want to buy more Elf lipsticks, so I might just do that hehe!

4. I got this lipstick as part of a free gift after spending so much on Clinique, but it has become one of my favourites lipsticks to wear at this time of year! It's very creamy and shiny, plus the colour is very bold and pigmented (the name says it all really!)

The lipstick has a slight shimmer to it and I would say it's close to a fuschia shade. Since I have pale skin, I've found that it suits me really well (which I was surprised about, seeing as pinks don't usually look that great on me).

 5. Surprise, surprise - another Elf lipstick! By now, you have probably realised that I'm slighttttly obsessed with Elf lipsticks, I just love them for obvious reasons!;) However, I was actually disappointed when I first got this because as soon as I used it, it snapped at the bottom, which shows that it's not very strong. However, I still use it (I just have to be very careful hehe!) It was only £1.50 anyway!

However, I adore the colour and the matte finish that this lipstick gives you. I would say it's less creamy than the Elf Mineral lipsticks, however I don't mind as the colour is amazing!

6. I love the unique packaging of this lipstick as the lid has an unusual texture/pattern. I'm not usually keen on this type of lipstick shape, I prefer ones with an angled point (as you can see, this one is flat therefore more difficult to apply!)

I've found it's better to apply it with a brush so I don't ruin the lipstick, but I absolutely love the light brown colour, creamy texture and shimmery outcome. I actually wore this for my prom last year and it lasted the full night!

I hope you've enjoyed this post, I love writing this blog so please follow me as it would mean a lot - plus I want to know if people are actually reading this hehe!

Thank you!!

Favourites At The Moment

Okay, so this is my first proper blog post, ahhh! I've decided to do my first post about my favourite products that I have been using recently; I will tell you a little bit about them and why I like them etc.

(Soap & Glory 'Butter Yourself' Smoothing Body Cream)

Boots: £10.50

Now that it's nearly winter and the wind has picked up here in the UK, my skin has been suffering due to the weather. My skin has become quite flaky and dry, therefore I've needed to make sure I don't forget to moisturise! I love putting this on after I have been in the shower - it makes my skin feel super soft and clean! It is quite a thick body butter, so I prefer to put it on in the evening rather than the morning.

Also, Boots have been selling their annual Christmas gift sets; you will be able to find some Soap & Glory sets, I'm hoping I get one for Christmas!

(Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Age Defying Day Moisturiser With SPF 15)

Boots: £9.99

Moisturising the face is also very important and recently I've been using this handy little thing. You may wonder why on Earth I'm using anti-ageing products at 18, but it's better to start early than too late! Hehe.

It comes with a pump, which is great at controlling how much product you want to use. It's also a very light moisturiser and absorbs into your skin reaally quickly, which is useful if you apply it before you do your makeup (which is what I do!) It's also SPF 15, which is pretty handy seeing as that's all skin experts go on about these days, protecting your skin from the blinding glare of the sun etc!

(L'Oréal Paris Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution)

Boots: £4.99

This product is great at removing makeup and impurities and I usually use this at night! I apply it to cotton wool pads and wipe all over my face - it makes my face feel reaally clean and makes sure all of your makeup is gone, as wipes don't always do the job!

Another great thing about it is it's suitable for sensitive skin - yay!

(Pearl Drops Pro-White Toothpolish)

Boots: £3.60

I've been getting frustrated with my teeth recently (weird I know) as they seem to have lost their colour! Let's face it, everybody wants white teeth! Normal whitening toothpastes weren't really doing anything for me, so when I came across this in Boots, I decided to buy it to see if it would make an improvement.

After a couple of weeks (maybe even less) my teeth started to look a lot whiter! I was really pleased with the results, which is why it's one of my favourite products at the moment! However, the only disappointing thing is that if you have sensitive teeth (like me), after a few weeks of brushing twice a day, my teeth started to ache a little bit. From now on, I'm just going to use it now and then when I need to, not everyday! BUT it still improved the colour of my teeth!

(Kate Moss: Lilabelle Truly Adorable) 30ml

Superdrug: £9.99

I recently got this as a birthday gift and I've been using it everyday! I love the musky scent to it, combined with a sweet apple scent. It's very girly! I recommend this if you are thinking of getting a new perfume!

Thanks for reading my first blog post (that is, if anyone is reading it) hehe.
I'll be posting regularly, so please follow me and leave comments! It would mean a lot!

Thanks!!

First Post

Hi everyone!

I've decided to create this blog so I have something to do in my spare time - and I love all things fashion and beauty related, so I can't wait to start blogging. This is just a quick introduction as to what my blog is going to be about.

I will be blogging on a regular basis about new products I have purchased and things that I love at the moment, all at an affordable price! I started a YouTube beauty channel before, however I realised I didn't feel 100% comfortable in front of a camera, so instead I've decided to create a blog!

I will begin posting very soon...
